H&M and UNICEF have teamed up to work on their All For Children program, which aims at defending the rights of children in India. This will be a five-year project and their goal is to provide support to children living in one of the world’s most underdeveloped cotton-producing regions and to improve their standard of living. H&M have donated $4.5 million in hopes that children will be given proper schooling as an alternative to working in the cotton fields. Another goal is to provide regular medical attention and food supplies. Customers can also help by purchasing the organic cotton tote bag seen above at the very top. The tote is designed by Sonia Rykiel exclusively for H&M. It will be available on December 5th 2009 at over 1500 stores and which 30% of the proceeds will go to UNICEF. Please help support this cause and help spread the awareness.
